The cook off features one chef from every state and I\u2019ll be tasting their creations and casting my vote for the talented chef who will take the crown.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>This year celebrates 5 years of the competition with the winners to date\u00a0representing Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and Texas.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Let\u2019s cross our fingers for some NW representation in the winner&#8217;s circle! This year\u2019s NW vote is from Alaska, Robert Kinneer, and there\u2019s one woman in the mix too, Margaret Salt Mclellen.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman\">Also, a great little independent book store in New Orleans\u2019s uptown, Octavia Books,<span> <\/span>will have autographed copies of my new book, Sips and Apps.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>So if you\u2019re in the neighborhood, head down and pick up a copy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;font-size: small\">The Great American Seafood\u00a0Cook Off is\u00a0July 18th-19th held at the Morian Convention Center.
