All you need is some food grade gold dust, your favorite bourbon, vermouth, bitters and a flair for the dramatic.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBLING BLING\u201d MANHATTAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Makes 1 cocktail<\/p>\n<p>2 ounces bourbon such as Maker\u2019s Mark<br \/>\n1 ounce sweet red vermouth<br \/>\nDash of <a href=\"http:\/\/kathycasey.com\/shop_fun.html\" target=\"_blank\">Liquid Kitchen Golden Era Bitters<\/a> or your favorite aromatic bitters.<br \/>\nGarnish: Gilded Cherry on a pick (recipe follows)<\/p>\n<p>Measure the bourbon, vermouth and bitters into a mixing glass. Fill 3\/4 with ice and stir swiftly for 20 seconds. Strain into a martini glass. Spear a Gilded Cherry on a pick and lay across drink.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1205 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/liquidkitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Bling2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"bling2\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 300px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 300\/225;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gilded Cherries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup maraschino or Amarena cherries \u2013 DRAINED WELL<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Food-grade-Luster-Dust-Grams-individual\/dp\/B00594DCGG\" target=\"_blank\">Gold Luster Dust<\/a> (available at cake decorating stores or online)<\/p>\n<p>Make the cherries in the same container for storing them. It is important that the cherries be very well drained. Place the cherries in the container and add the luster dust. Stir gently to coat the cherries in gold. Do not over stir &#8211; over stirring makes the gold \u201cstirred in\u201d and not coated on each cherry.
