Founded in 2002 by <a href=\"https:\/\/talesofthecocktail.com\/about\/tales-of-the-cocktail-staff-bios\/\">Ann Tuennerman<\/a>, this gathering of cocktail lovers has grown into the world\u2019s premier cocktail festival for the liquor industry and enthusiasts alike. The festival brings together spirit professionals from all over the world in historic New Orleans- and Seattle\u2019s presence is always strong.<\/p>\n<p>TOTC 2017\u00a0was another exciting round-up of competitions, awards, seminars, and best of all- lots of cocktails shared among friends. Hundreds of spirit professionals, including <a href=\"http:\/\/smallscreennetwork.com\/cocktail_spirit\">Robert Hess<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.starchefs.com\/cook\/chefs\/bio\/audrey-saunders\">Audrey Sanders<\/a>, and several Seattle superstars were seen sipping and dining around the city in style.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders also played a huge role at the festival alongside her long-time mentor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingcocktail.com\/\">Dale DeGroff<\/a>. Sanders, founder of New York\u2019s award-winning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peguclub.com\/flash\/\">Pegu Club<\/a>, and DeGroff, who is widely known as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingcocktail.com\/\">King of Cocktails<\/a>, were honored with a special award as the official 2017 Tales of the Cocktail\u00ae Ambassadors. She&#8217;s a big deal!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>As the festival carried on, Seattle had more reasons to celebrate. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canonseattle.com\/\">Canon: Whiskey and Bitters Emporium<\/a> took the prestigious award for World\u2019s Best Spirits Selection!<\/p>\n<p>In the words of Seattle Times columnist of all things boozy, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/author\/tan-vinh\/\">Tan Vinh<\/a>&#8211; \u201cScoring a seat at Canon just got harder.\u201d 50 bartenders and booze representatives from the Northwest erupted into cheers when Canon was named the winner. Proprietor of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libertybars.com\/\">Liberty Bar<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/scoutspirits\/\">Scout Spirits<\/a>, Friedman is a tireless small business champion and hospitality industry mentor. He shared his wisdom during 4 presentations including <em>The Value of Values: Embedding Purpose into Business, Intellectual Property Law Issues in Cocktail Land<\/em>, and <em>New Business Models for Bars<\/em>.
