Next time you whip up a big batch of your favorite morning smoothie, portion it into a few mason jars and keep in the fridge. My <b>Jump Start Smoothie<\/b> is so simple to make! You can also layer in yogurt, granola, and fruit for an easy parfait.<\/p>\n<p>Or how about some d\u2019lish overnight oats \u2013 portioned into jars and easy to grab when you\u2019re on the go. Now that\u2019s a weekday breakfast \u2013 done simple!<\/p>\n<p>Next time you want to make a salad dressing \u2013 forget the whisk and let the jar do all the work for you! You\u2019ll get quite the arm workout shakin\u2019 it up.<\/p>\n<p>You can even bake directly inside jars \u2013 that\u2019s right! Banana bread, custards, cakes \u2013 these days there are tons of recipes perfectly portioned for the mighty mason jar.<\/p>\n<p>So think outside of the box and put those trusty jars to good use!<br \/>\n-Kathy<\/p>\n<p><b>Kathy\u2019s Jump-Start Smoothie<\/b><br \/>\nMakes 1 serving<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup frozen fruits or fresh fruits<br \/>\n1\/2 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt<br \/>\n2 Tbsp agave nectar (or sub honey for another all natural sweetener)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup ice cubes<br \/>\n1\/2 \u2013 1 tsp flax seed (the more seeds \u2013 the more \u201ctexture\u201d)<br \/>\n1 fresh kale leaf (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Place ingredients in the order above and blend until smooth.
