What’s D’Lish! Tasty Preserves & New Menu Additions

From our friend chef Brian Scheehser’s garden we whipped up wonderful d’lish preserves for the Dish D’Lish® Ballard location from his organic goods. They’re grown with lots of love and you can taste it! Strawberry Lavender Jam—so yummy on your morning toast! With his juicy ripe tomatoes, we made another favorite, Tomato Jam with Orange Zest and Ginger—super-yummy paired with Buttermilk Blue Cheese and one of our cracker selections. I also like to serve this jam with grilled pork or chicken.

And back again this year is Nectarine Rose Conserve with Hibiscus—delicious with our sexy Le Delice de Bourgone triple-cream cheese.

We have added some new items on our café menu, too. Here’s a sampling:
Fennel, Orange & Chicken Salad—with arugula, feta, pomegranate vinaigrette and candied pistachios. Molto Meatloaf Sandwich with Beecher’s Flagship Cheese—plus Mama Lil’s marinated goat horn peppers and slightly spicy mayo on Essential Bakery organic Scala bread. You can have the sandwich cold or grilled up hot! And our popular Tarragon Chicken Salad is now featured in a sandwich.

Also keep in mind, we have great party items for pick-up catering—from Chipotle Deviled Eggs to pans of Vegetable Pesto Lasagna. We’re here to make food easy for your next family party, bowl game get-together or weekend dinner with friends! And don’t forget Dish D’Lish Cocktailor™ to shake up some creative cocktails like my Pomegranate Sage Lemon Drop (recipe below).

And remember, we do have parking in the back lot behind Dish D’Lish and my Food Studios for when you are dining or shopping at Dish D’Lish Ballard. We hope to see you soon!
